Wild Woman Birthkeepers
Wild Woman Birthkeepers is a radical birthkeeper partnership, run by an Ashkenazi Jewish woman and a Taína woman. The focus of our work is to cultivate sisterhood, creating real, in-person community that women can be nourished by and depend on. Our fertility awareness offerings reflect these values. They connect women to one another and to their bodies from a holistic, radical feminist perspective.
We are passionate about healing from the effects of sexism and racism through body sovereignty, with an understanding that trauma is etched into our female bodies, but so is power! We are dancers, food lovers, and best friends. We bring our unique understanding of female anatomy and physiology from our birthwork to our fertility awareness education. We see fertility awareness as a way to connect with our female ancestry and reclaim land, nature, spirit, art...and so much more!
Sister, hermana, you do not walk alone. Get connected with us!
Noli & Nadia are self-taught practitioners of fertility awareness. They teach sympto-thermal fertility awareness based on the book Taking Charge Of Your Fertility. They are not certified by an institute however they practice deep integrity and sisterhood in their work, prioritising passing on women-centered wisdom orally. They are mentored by Anna Churchill (certified fertility awareness educator), and reference her in the case of any questions that they don't know the answer to.
Noli & Nadia run their classes as circles rather than lectures, drawing on community knowledge to support each woman in her charting journey. They are self-taught through reading materials including Taking Charge Of Your Fertility, the Justisse Manual, A New View Of A Woman's Body and many other books on female biology. They regularly attend workshops with fertility awareness educators including through the Association of Fertility Awareness Professionals. They also regularly participate in fertility awareness women's circles hosted by themselves, local colleagues, the Free Birth Society and Radical Birth Keepers network.
Noli & Nadia have each been practicing fertility awareness since 2018 and have experience teaching many women both one-to-one and in group settings.
