My passion for teaching Fertility Awareness began with my own discovery of natural birth control in 2009. In addition to providing me with safe birth control, using the method brought me closer to myself and my body - it helped me on my journey of self-discovery. My dedication as a Fertility Awareness Educator is to teach about how we can live in harmony with our menstrual cycles, and treat our menstrual bodies with nurturing love and respect.
I am a trained Holistic Reproductive Health Practitioner through Justisse College International in Canada, and a certified Fertility Awareness Educator through the Association for Fertility Awareness Practitioners. I am also chairperson for the Nordic Union for Fertility Awareness. My training has given me substantial knowledge in holistic physiology, endocrinology, nutrition and menstrual cycle charting. I teach natural birth control, as well as support people in the healing of menstrual cycle problems, hormonal issues, and infertility.
In addition to my work with secular Fertility Awareness, I teach nature-based spirituality based on 20 years of practice and training, am a ceremonial space-holder, a student of psychological astrology, and am active in the ecological and community healing movement. I experience my work with women’s health as deeply intertwined with my work for a healthier planet. However - my teaching approach to FAM remains secular, in order to suit all different kinds of people with different faiths and philosophies of life.
